Joel is the Founding Partner and Chairman of Peterson Partners. Joel has a long history of successful growth capital investments in a variety of industries. He currently teaches Entrepreneurial Management at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, is the Chairman of the Board of Overseers at the Hoover Institution at Stanford as well as the Chairman of the Board at JetBlue Airways, and serves as a Director of Franklin Covey. He served formerly as Managing Partner of Trammell Crow Company. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. Joel is the author of The 10 Laws of Trust: Building the Bonds that make a Business Great.

Carl is a Vice President at Peterson Partners. Prior to joining Peterson Partners, Carl managed the largest Tex-Mex restaurant group in Brazil, Sí Señor, where he was Chief Strategy Officer and subsequently CFO. Prior to his experience in Brazil, he worked as an Associate at Peterson Partners and completed various growth equity investments and buyouts. He began his career in New York City as an Investment Banking Analyst at Lazard and Credit Suisse advising on mergers and acquisitions, debt offerings and IPOs. He received his B.S. in Finance from Brigham Young University.

Clay is a Senior Accountant at Peterson Partners. Prior to joining Peterson Partners, Clay was a Fund Accountant at UMB Fund Services. At UMB, he worked on portfolio accounting for multiple private equity and hedge funds. Prior to joining UMB, Clay was an analyst at Goldman Sachs in Salt Lake City. Clay graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.S. degree in Finance and is currently pursuing his MBA from the University of Utah.

At PwC and Peak Capital, Dane gained valuable experience working on technical tax issues and servicing clients. Dane is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.S. degree in accounting from Brigham Young University and a MAcc degree in accounting from Utah State University.

Eric is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to joining Peterson Partners, Eric was an Audit Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston and Salt Lake City. At PwC, Eric provided audit services to asset management clients, including; private equity funds, hedge funds, and endowments. Eric is a Certified Public Accountant; he holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Utah State University and a M.S. degree in Finance from Suffolk University.

Jacob is the Director of Finance at Peterson Partners. Prior to joining Peterson Partners, Jacob was a Senior Fund Accounting Manager at UMB Fund Services in Ogden, UT. At UMB he oversaw portfolio accounting for multiple hedge funds, private equity funds, and registered investment companies. Jacob is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.S. in Finance from Brigham Young University and a MBA from Weber State University.

James received a B.S. in Business Administration from The University of Vermont.

While at Morgan Stanley, Jordan worked with companies primarily in the transportation and logistics industries on a variety of M&A, debt, and equity transactions. Jordan graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.S. degree in Finance.

Prior to Brighter Option, Randall served as SVP of Global Sales at RockYou, a Sequoia/Lightspeed/First Round-backed digital media company. Randall also worked in sales strategy and account management positions at both Google and eBay. Randall holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.A. in Organizational Communication from the University of Utah.

In this role, Zhenni developed and executed Sephora’s omni-channel and experiential retail vision, spanning across eCommerce and store operations. She was also responsible for developing key strategic opportunities across the business to drive growth and innovation. Before Sephora, Zhenni was a management consultant at Bain & Company, where she worked with Fortune 500 clients in tech, eCommerce, and Private Equity. Zhenni graduated from University of Southern California with a double major in Business and Accounting.
